Johnny Hollywood is a nice guy and he is on point with making sure people don't go over their time. I think he does a good job with making comics feel welcomed.
John is a great host. He gets the crowds to listen to you you, and the comics are far more attentive that in NY. If you want a room that is pretty warm to comedians, you've found it
I just did a mic here and enjoyed it. Free = Plus and 10 minutes on stage to boot? = plus. Its a great mic to work on material and I can't wait to go there again.
Good/Fair open mic depending on the atmosphere of the night. Most of the time the room is supportive. Great place to work out new stuff. Johnny Hollywood is a great Host and very supportive for those who are new to comedy. The shows run well and you cant beat 10 free minutes on stage. I would sugguset bringing a friend or two. Good alternative from the NY Open Mics
Great host - Johnny Hollywood is funny and encouraging. Not much of a crowd, unless you like performing to a clique of young comics who only laugh for their friends and the few patrons who have stumbled in to watch whatever game is on TV- but hey, you gotta start somewhere. Cute bartenders and great tap beer.
