The problem with this mic has always been more comics than can reasonably be accommodated, no matter if it was in Arlington or Dallas. The move to Dallas has actually made things worse on that front. However, if you get there early enough to get a decent spot, the crowds are attentive early in the show. The venue website says doors open at 8, but it's actually 7:30. I have heard people start lining up around 5:30.
This mic draws 40+ comics weekly b/c of the lack of other quality mics in the area. But that is testimony to its potential.
